LIU Kuixing is a master tutor of architectural technology at the School of Architecture, Tianjin University. He is currently the deputy director of the Institute of Architectural Technology of Tianjin University, a member of the International Society for Building Performance Simulation, a member of the Computer Simulation Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Heating, Ventilation and Air-conditioning, a member of the Professional Committee for Building Adjustment and Operation and Maintenance of the China Building Energy Conservation Association, and Green Building of the China City Science and Technology Association Members of the Youth Committee of the Committee and many other academic and social positions. He has participated in many domestic and international conferences and delivered keynote speeches, such as the IEEE-sponsored Energy and Energy System Integration Conference, HVAC Simulation Annual Conference, etc.
LIU Kuixing graduated from Tianjin University with a Bachelor degree in Architectural Environment and Equipment Engineering. He graduated from Tianjin University in 2012. He was an assistant researcher at the School of Architecture of Tongji University from 2013 to 2016 and went to Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory for postdoctoral studies. His main research direction is building energy efficiency. He has been engaged in research work related to urban physical environment and building intelligent operation and maintenance.
In the past five years, he has published more than 40 papers, including one highly cited paper in TOP journals in the urban physical environment direction, many TOP journal papers in the field of environmental and engineering SCI retrieval, more than 20 articles in Chinese core journals, and many papers in other journals. And applied for 5 invention patents, and won five provincial and ministerial awards, 1 municipal award, 1 school award, and two awards related to education and teaching. In the past five years, he has hosted 1 National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund, two national key R&D sub-projects, 1 Tianjin Youth Fund, 1 World Bank sub-project, and three National Natural Science Foundation projects. He participated in hosting a number of school-enterprise cooperation projects related to the building physical environment and building intelligence operation and maintenance and maintained good cooperative relations with domestic and foreign enterprises such as Boeing (China) Company and Novozymes Biotechnology Company.
